Warner Bros' Clash of the Titans opened this Easter weekend with $61.4 million in ticket sales.  The film probably would have grossed even higher, but had its 3D screen availability limited by other recent 3D releases Alice in Wonderland and How to Train Your Dragon.  Even with limited 3D screens, the higher priced tickets represented approximately $31 million of its opening frame debut.  Critical response to the film has been mixed, but audience exit polls are very favorable, meaning the film will likely recoup its $125 million production budget over the next few weeks.

Second place went to Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Too, with $30.2 million.  The sequel had a production budget of only $20 million, so will be profitable with no difficulty.

Last week's number one film, How to Train Your Dragon, fell a modest 33% to $29.2 million, buoyed by the holiday weekend.  The film's gross to date is $92.3 million against a $165 million production budget.

Disney's The Last Song, starring Miley Cyrus, had a strong opening.  The film debuted with $16.2 million recouped against its $25 million production budget.

Finally, another Disney flick, Alice in Wonderland, fell to fifth place, with $8.3 million.  With $310 million in grosses to date, plus another $363 million internationally, expect Disney to look for ways to milk this franchise for another sequel.
